Getting a Full Refund I work as a District Manager for a chain of coffee shops in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area, which will remain unnamed as I am still currently employed with them, and love my job very much. When customers want to call and complain to someone, managers are instructed to give them my cell phone number instead of referring them to the corporate 800 number. The reason for my doing this is so that the customer can leave a message and then I can call the manager to get their side of the story and also question any team members that may have witnessed the situation. Then, I would contact the customer to attempt to make them happy, invite them back, and basically blow smoke up their asses, and offer them free product to keep them coming back. I received a call one evening from a woman who had gone thru the drive thru after work to order coffee and ice cream. Mace in Your Face This one time at band camp…..ha-ha just kidding! But really, one night I was working at a Taco Bell in Lexington, KY the late night shift. Now on after 10 is when the crazies and psychos come out anyway. There was a car load of drunk girls that came thru the drive thru screaming their order into the speaker (all 4 of them at the same time). I remained calmed and nicely asked them if they could please order one at a time so that I could understand them. Then one of the girls yells into the speaker, “maybe you should f*&kin’ listen then bi$#h!” To which I sweetly and calmly replied, “Would you mind not cursing at me and place your order please?” This of course just pissed them off even more and they pulled up to the window.
